Alexandra and Summer sure know how to throw a party a year after they exchanged wedding vows, and Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths was partying along with the happy couple and their guests at the Days Inn by Wyndham Penn State. The couple renewed their vows in the Days Inn’s atrium, had the ultimate moment of being introduced as a newly mated couple, a wonderful dinner, excitement dancing together as newlyweds and fun taking pictures with each other, family and guests with Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths.

The newlyweds are big Penn State football fans! Guests were given Penn State pom poms to laud the arrival of the happy couple and to cheer the newlyweds favorite team to victory in the coming months. They also had a white football helmet with a marker available for guests to sign and deliver messages to the mated pair.

Alexandra and Summer opted for Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths Silver Sparkle photo booth backdrop – it looked very snazzy and placed the photo booth picture emphasis on the guests having fun behind Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths’ BIG Red camera. Since blue and white were the colors that meant so much to the happy couple, they chose a 4×6, landscape, 4-picture, blue and white zigzag photo booth border.

Guests were able to outfit themselves in amusing hats, teasing boas, mischievous glasses and delightful handheld lips or mustaches. The pièces de résistance were the special wedding signs for the event. Guests were not shy behind the camera. The more the merrier. It was fantastic to see the Mrs. and Mrs. kiss behind the camera while holding the sign stating, “Meet the Newlyweds.”

Thank you Alexandra and Summer for allowing Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths to capture some stunningly funny and beautiful photos that will leave everyone fondly smiling and reminiscing about your wonderful day!

Let us meet one of Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths’ operators, Emma!

What is your role at Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths?

When Lotsa Laffs gets a call to run a photo booth for a special event, I am one of the operators that sets up and runs the machine.

What is the wildest thing that ever happened in the photo booth? One of the wildest things that I have seen while operating the photo booth is when a group holds a person up off of the ground while taking a picture.

What do you enjoy most when operating the photo booth?

Seeing the people having fun and smiling behind the camera. It makes me feel good seeing the joy in people’s faces.

What is your favorite color?

My favorite color is blue.

If you had a pet, what kind would it be?

I do have a dog. She is the baby in the family that everyone loves to snuggle next to.

What’s your favorite family tradition?

The ethnic food that my mother makes for holidays.

Who would you most like to swap places with for a day?

My dog since she gets to relax and snooze a lot.

What is your favorite photo booth prop?

I love the fans. People love to open them and do some amazingly funny poses with them in hand.

What event was your favorite?

Every year I look forward to seeing the PSU graduates. The PSU Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA) have a Winter Gala each year, and Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths is one of the vendors for the event. I look forward to saying hello to the students that have been coming to the Winter Gala since Lotsa Laffs has been the photo booth for the event.

What advice do you give to users of your photo booth?

I usually tell users to smile and have fun behind the camera!

Today let’s meet one of Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths’ owners, Nancy.

Hello Nancy! What is your role at Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths?

I am an owner/operator of Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths in State College, PA. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths is a woman-owned business.

When people ask “What do you do?” how do you answer?

I tell them I own and operate a photo booth company and a DJ business.

How did you come up with your name?

We wanted the photo booth name to be fun and exciting. Lotsa Laffs became our name, telling clients that we promote and excel at making an event really enjoyable with pictures.

Where is your favorite place in the world?

Being at an event with a Lotsa Laffs Photo Booth, of course!

What’s your favorite family tradition?

Having my family around the table.

Who would you most like to swap places with for a day?

I would swap places with my dog. She has it made!

What did you do before you did this?

I worked as an electrical engineer.

When and how did you get into the wedding industry?

When my husband and I started dating, I found out he had a DJ business with his friend while in high school. My husband saw I loved weddings and extensively knew the course of events. I saw his love for music and suggested getting back into the DJ business.

How did you get into the photo booth business?

I was DJing an event, and the client had a photo booth. The photo booth wasn’t a booth per se, but just a photographer’s camera on a tripod. I walked from that event away telling my husband I could do much better.

My husband and I worked together to completely design our booth, implement the right software and utilize entertaining props. Today, we have multiple open air photo booths that we have designed and continue to look at ways to make them better.

What is your favorite photo booth prop?

My favorite photo booth prop is the plunger. I always laugh when I see what people do behind the camera with that particular prop.

What advice do you give to users of your photo booth?

I always tell people to smile and have fun behind the camera!

For many people, planning an event involves finding a photographer able to capture those memorable moments in professional quality pictures that can be admired and treasured throughout the years. BUT every moment is important and worth capturing at an event. Once you have a photographer for those special and exceptional moments, it is a brilliant idea to enhance the experience of your event by adding Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths for your guests.

The photographer can be seen milling around your event capturing still images, but the talented photographer cannot capture every moment that occurs for posterity. When you add Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths to your event, you are inviting your guests to capture high quality moments that can be shared through email, social media or a stand alone photo. The photo booth offers your guests relaxed fun with an amazing variety of tools with picture props, a marvelous backdrop and software to elicit an amazing work of art that the photographer would never inspire. Unfortunately, a photographer is not able to offer those types of options to your guests. When people are given the right tools to work with, they find a new incitement in creating a picture to cherish and treasure for a lifetime.

A photo booth is a great magnet for kids! This is a huge entertainment factor for parents because kids are entertained. They have fun choosing picture props, hats, glasses and a variety of other fun props. When they get behind the camera, they have so much fun mugging for the camera. The pictures are memorable reminders of the joy of childhood, and their playfulness behind the camera.

These are just a few benefits that ensue by having a photo booth at your event especially if you want an epic event! Guests have fun and appreciate the entertainment of a photo booth along with the keepsake photo strip(s) they take home for joyful remembrance.

Saturday, November 28, 2020, is a day to pay tribute to all small businesses across the United States. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths is proud to maintain a photo booth and DJ business in the heart of State College, Pennsylvania. Like most businesses, Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths has remained a part of the local community that we love while coping with COVID-19. It has been a challenging time. While there are always ups and downs, Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths continues to dream and create! Our team is continuing to design and create photo booth borders as well as new proprietary photo booth systems for the future needs of our valued clients. Creativity is a dream come true as we work to bring something new and amazing for our future clientele!

Small Business Saturday was founded in 2010 by American Express. It is celebrated on the Saturday following Thanksgiving Day. By shopping small businesses, especially during the holiday season, people are supporting their local communities. Ten years later, local communities continue to come together offering events and activities promoting Small Business Saturday. By Shopping Small, small businesses can begin to return to pre-COVID levels keeping their business alive for 2021.

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths is a photo booth business serving Centre and surrounding counties with photo booth service. As our name suggests, our photo booth offers clients an entertaining experience. All of our border designs are unique since they are created strictly in-house. All of our photo booths are our own novel design and not the “cookie cutter” designs that you will often see. Small businesses give back to the community by often helping charitable organizations. In a normal year, you will see Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths out and about helping various organizations.

Instead of always patronizing the “big box” stores, make an effort to shop at small businesses! You will be rewarded with much better customer service, higher quality goods and a overall more enjoyable experience.

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had an awesome night recently with the Middle Atlantic College Stores (MACS) organization. The group was in town holding their 48th annual meeting and buying show at the Nittany Lion Inn. The theme for this year’s event was football tailgating. Members were dressed in their favorite team’s sports jersey while dining on chicken wings, chipped beef, sausage and peppers, and other delicious tailgate foods and dessert.

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths designed a special 4×6, 4-picture, football skin event border with a football sailing through the goalpost. MACS attendees could be seen striking a pose for the camera. Boas, hats, large and small hand held props, glasses, and frames were repeatedly grabbed and discarded as the attendees struck a pose behind the camera. Each group would quickly don a prop and then pose for the picture. Take a look below at all the smiles MACS attendees wore for the camera!

And We Danced DJ Entertainment was leading some exciting party games along with music to keep the crowd entertained during the tailgate event. It was not surprising to see people running down to grab a straw and suck up a marshmallow before heading back to their places. Many MACS attendees not playing games were busy cheering on their favorite team or MACS person. Before leaving, many MACS attendees were busy marshmallow sculpting some really impressive pieces!

The Middle Atlantic College Stores Association is a nonprofit organization that strives to promote the general improvement of college stores in the Middle Atlantic region. They also further the professional growth of all of the members in their organization. The group is overseen by a board that changes membership each year. Membership in the organization is open to all college and K-12 stores that engage in the selling of books, supplies, or institutional merchandise necessary for students and faculty of an educational institution. Firms that sell to the stores defined previously can also be members of the organization. The Middle Atlantic region includes Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Thank you MACS for tailgating with Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths at your 48th annual meeting!
