Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had the pleasure of providing photo booth fun for the Penn State Altoona Student Nurses Association of PA (SNAP) at the Arc of Blair County.  The event was the first formal event sponsored by the Penn State Altoona SNAP.  It featured music, sound, and lighting by And We Danced DJ Entertainment, and Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths’ Baby Blue camera for exciting photos.

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths created a custom 2×6, 4 picture, maroon photo booth template featuring the ticketed event with a rose gold glitter backdrop from the Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths backdrop library.  Fun

Hats, glasses, handheld props, and boas were ready for use while taking a photo in the Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths’ Baby Blue camera. Even though the line was long for pictures, everyone was giggling, helping people find some fantastic props, and sometimes photobombing their friend’s photos.  Guests did not only take home one photo strip, but a few along with digital photos of the event.  Large and small groups stepped behind the camera to commemorate the first formal sponsored by the Penn State Altoona SNAP.  It was wonderful to see all the smiles on everyone’s face as they walked away holding and looking at their camera featuring their awesome pictures.

SNAP is a Penn State organization that offers nursing students numerous ways of being involved in the local, state, and national level.  The organization offers their students professional development, community service, and events to foster camaraderie.  The people in SNAP also are involved with THON through their partner Club Kinesiology, fundraising, and attendance with THON families at various events.  SNAP offers first and second year students a mentee/mentorship with their junior and senior members.  The program gives new students a chance to meet other students, get advice, and ask questions from uperclassmen.

Thank you, Penn State Altoona SNAP for inviting Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths to your formal event!

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had the pleasure of providing photo booth fun for Penn State’s Meetings and Events Club and School of Hospitality Management’s (SHM) Thon.  The Pineapple Gala was the 7th gala sponsored by both groups.  The theme for the gala was an enchanted forest which could be seen throughout the venue hall and on the Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths border template.  The event was held at the Marriott Foundation Building which is located on the main campus of Penn State.

The Pineapple Gala featured And We Danced DJ Entertainment’s DJs mixing fantastic mashups of music, food, soft beverages, raffle baskets, interactive activities, and Lotsa Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths Big Baby Blue camera.  Chloe Reifer was one of the admirable folks planning the event this year that worked with Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths to make the border template and backdrop fit the theme of the occasion.  A hedge backdrop with a lovely 2×6, 4 picture, border template featuring greenery on a white background with gold was embellished for the gala.  Everyone was thrilled to step behind the Baby Blue camera to take some pictures.  Each person received an actual photo along with a QR code to send their photo to social media.  The lineup for the photo booth allowed people to photo bomb some pictures, but everyone was excited to have a remembrance from the event.

The Pineapple Gala is held late in the fall semester on the Penn State campus, but why is the gala named after a tropical fruit?  Wouldn’t it be better fitting to hold the event in warmer weather since it is called a Pineapple Gala?  Guess what?  A pineapple is the symbol of hospitality.  It dates to when Christopher Columbus was on his second voyage discovering the Caribbean.  The travelers wanted to share this fruit with their families back in Europe.  The Spanish Royal Family loved the pineapple fruit.  Since the pineapple could only be grown in warm climates, people began experimenting with the correct conditions in a greenhouse to grow the product.  It took over 200 years before the correct specifications were met to grow a pineapple in greenhouse conditions.  The sparsity of the pineapple means that hosted events featuring a pineapple were considered an honor.  This is why the pineapple became known as the symbol of hospitality and gracious hosting.

Thank you, Chloe, Penn State’s Meetings and Events Club, and Penn State’s School of Hospitality Management’s (SHM) thon for allowing Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths to be part of your amazing 7th annual Pineapple Gala!

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had the pleasure of providing photo booth fun for the various grand opening events held at the new Bellefonte area GIANT grocery store located in Benner Township.  The Benner Township GIANT crew marked the holiday season before the grand opening of the new GIANT grocery store.  And We Danced DJ Entertainment provided music while Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths took some awesome photos of GIANT employees, family, and friends.   A day after the grand opening of the Benner Township GIANT, Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths provided some awesomely, enjoyable photos with Santa for GIANT customers and crew.

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths created a 2×6, 3 picture photo booth template with the GIANT logo for the holiday party.  Santa’s border was a 2×6, 4 picture photo booth template emphasizing Santa flying through the night-time sky delivering presents.  Holiday hats, glasses, and signs were available for folks.  GIANT provided a special backdrop for the holiday party alongside GIANT signs in commemoration of the new Benner Township GIANT.  Santa’s backdrop was a blue and white winter wonderland of snow and Christmas trees.

For the holiday party and exciting photos with Santa, young and old were not shy to step behind the camera.  Many folks took photos with and without props.  A few adults sat on Santa’s lap and delivered a kiss to Santa’s cheek.  Other adults held signs saying if they were naughty or nice.  Santa even got into the pleasure of making fun-loving faces while posing for the camera.  It was an incredible photo booth experience to see the amusing side of Santa.  Santa made sure to ask everyone what they wanted for Christmas and if they had been nice or naughty throughout the year.  He was checking his list throughout the time he was visiting the Benner Township GIANT.

Thank you, Benner Township GIANT for allowing Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths to be part of your amazing grand opening events!
