Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had the opportunity to participate in Amanda Strandburg’s, Ms. Pennsylvania Universal of 2021, Roaring 20s Masquerade Ball at the Clearfield Elks Lodge #540. The sponsored ball benefited Haven House, a homeless shelter. The Elks National Foundation presented a grant of $3,500 to help the Haven House homeless shelter. This is the second year that Amanda and the Haven House Board sponsored a benefit ball to raise funds for the shelter.
Haven House supports homeless residents of Clearfield, Elk, and Jefferson Counties. It is a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation that is presided over by a board of local citizens. In her youth, Ms. Pennsylvania Universal of 2021 had to rely on the Salvation Army and other programs that help the homeless.
She wants people to be aware of these programs and shelters which are needed in the community to help people who have need for a place to stay or a helping hand. So, Amanda works a great deal with Haven House to bring their programs to the forefront of local citizens.
Amanda and her family had the Elks Lodge decorated as a Roaring 20s speakeasy. The ladies or flappers were garbed in flapper style dresses, sparkly jewelry, elbow length satin gloves, and feathers in their hair. The men or flippers wore black gangster style pinstriped suits and fedoras. The Elks Lodge had a long bar with cozy tables symbolic of old fashioned speakeasys.
Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths designed a Roaring 20s style, 4×6, landscape, 4-picture template for the event. Fun Prohibition signs were the props for the night alongside boas, glasses, and hats. Everyone had a chance to grab props, quickly pose, and have a memorable picture of the event. And We Danced DJ Entertainment provide the sound and music for the benefit event.
