Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths spent a marvelous night with the Penn State Graduate & Professional Student Association (GPSA) as they celebrated their Winter Gala at the Nittany Lion Inn. This was the fourth consecutive year Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths was part of this fantastic event. Each year more and more students come to enjoy an awesome buffet of impressive food, phenomenal dance music provided by And We Danced DJ Entertainment and the fun atmosphere of Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths.

The Graduate & Professional Student Association picked an awesome 2×6, 4-picture, gold vine covered border. The border text and curtain were navy blue. Props were flying as quests quickly donned new hats, boas and glasses in the ten second time interval between pictures. Even though the line was long for pictures, everyone was giggling, helping people find some fantastic props and sometimes photobombing their friends photos. Guests did not only take home one photo strip, but a few. They posed with their significant others and also with friends. A few guests jumped into someone’s arms and posed for a picture in the carrying-the-bride-over-the-threshold style.

The Graduate & Professional Student Association consists of graduate and professional students attending Penn State University. The organization is recognized by the University and is the collective voice of the graduate and professional student body in the University’s administration, Board of Trustees, academic units and other external organizations that make decisions on behalf of students. The organization promotes leadership, social and service opportunities to all graduate and professional students. Throughout the school year, the organization plans events and activities to promote community among the graduates, professional students and their families.

Thank you for a wonderful night! This was our “senior year” doing the event! Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths hopes to be a part of next year’s Graduate & Professional Student Association Winter Gala!

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had an awesome night recently with the Middle Atlantic College Stores (MACS) organization. The group was in town holding their 48th annual meeting and buying show at the Nittany Lion Inn. The theme for this year’s event was football tailgating. Members were dressed in their favorite team’s sports jersey while dining on chicken wings, chipped beef, sausage and peppers, and other delicious tailgate foods and dessert.

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths designed a special 4×6, 4-picture, football skin event border with a football sailing through the goalpost. MACS attendees could be seen striking a pose for the camera. Boas, hats, large and small hand held props, glasses, and frames were repeatedly grabbed and discarded as the attendees struck a pose behind the camera. Each group would quickly don a prop and then pose for the picture. Take a look below at all the smiles MACS attendees wore for the camera!

And We Danced DJ Entertainment was leading some exciting party games along with music to keep the crowd entertained during the tailgate event. It was not surprising to see people running down to grab a straw and suck up a marshmallow before heading back to their places. Many MACS attendees not playing games were busy cheering on their favorite team or MACS person. Before leaving, many MACS attendees were busy marshmallow sculpting some really impressive pieces!

The Middle Atlantic College Stores Association is a nonprofit organization that strives to promote the general improvement of college stores in the Middle Atlantic region. They also further the professional growth of all of the members in their organization. The group is overseen by a board that changes membership each year. Membership in the organization is open to all college and K-12 stores that engage in the selling of books, supplies, or institutional merchandise necessary for students and faculty of an educational institution. Firms that sell to the stores defined previously can also be members of the organization. The Middle Atlantic region includes Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Thank you MACS for tailgating with Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths at your 48th annual meeting!

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths was part of Emma’s Sweet 16 party at Hollidaysburg’s U.S. Hotel Tavern. A masquerade was the theme for the event. Guests arrived wearing masks. If they didn’t have a mask, masks were available to wear for the night.

The U.S. Hotel Tavern provided a splendid display of food that guests were encouraged to eat throughout the night. And We Danced DJ Entertainment provided the birthday girl and guests with an awesome musical selection of hits to pull people onto the dance floor. A conga line was started when Pitbull’s “Fireball” began to play. The guests sang “Happy Birthday” to the 16-year old birthday girl. Cupcakes with various icings and flavors were available for guests to enjoy. Emma thanked everyone with a chocolate gift from Mid’s Candy of Ebensburg.

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had guests dancing, laughing, and posing behind their BIG camera. Emma and her parents began the night posing behind the camera followed by a whirlwind of Emma’s friends. Boas, hats, props, glasses, and frames where repeatedly grabbed and discarded as the girls struck a pose behind the camera. Each group would quickly don a prop and pose between pictures. Guests were then gifted with four photos in a border celebrating Emma’s birthday. Later in the evening, guests were dancing around with hats and boas. Take a look at the pictures below to see the awesome time the guests were having!

The history of a Sweet 16 party dates back to a time when a young woman was considered old enough to be presented to society to find a husband. Today, it is a coming of age party when a girl is shifting to young adulthood. There are various traditions that are part of a Sweet 16 party such as the lighting of sixteen candles, father/daughter dance, shoe game, and passing of heirlooms. The one tradition that is carried on at all parties is to blow out the candles on the cake. Just make sure to make a wish and hopefully it will come true!

Thank you Emma for allowing Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths be part of your Sweet 16 celebration!

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths was proud to be part of Michelle Jenkins and Mikel Umberger’s wedding celebration at The 903 in Middletown, Pennsylvania. Michelle wore a beautiful lace bridal gown from David’s Bridals with a two inch hot pink ribbon at the waist. Mikel sported a navy blue suit with a navy blue striped shirt.

Pastor Lee Hyman was the officiant for the ceremony.  The 903’s C&J Catering presented a beautiful array of food for the bride, groom and guests. Kyrsten’s Sweet Designs prepared a stunning three-layer wedding cake, and an awesome cake depicting the Eagles football team’s teal jersey. Shawn Green of FairyTale Reflections Photography was busy snapping shots of the bride, groom and guests throughout the day. About Faces Caricatures busily created wonderful cartoon drawings for all the lucky people who posed for a caricature. And We Danced DJ Entertainment provided the sensational hot pink and blue uplighting, music, dance floor lighting and emceeing for the night. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths was on hand to make people laugh as they posed for pictures behind their BIG camera.

Take a look at the awesome watercolor flower border Michelle picked for the day. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths provided the hot pink curtain background which really accented the hot pink color theme that night. The font on the border design matched the font Michelle and Mikel used for their pink and navy blue napkins. Michelle asked Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths to make the font color for their names to be navy blue which is Mikel’s favorite color. Guests were not shy while stepping behind the camera with a variety of props. Michelle and Mikel even smiled, kissed and posed for the camera. Everyone behind the camera received a marvelous keepsake to remember the marriage of Mikel and Michelle.

Thank you Michelle and Mikel for allowing Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths capture some spectacular, funny and striking pictures that will leave everyone fondly smiling and reminiscing about your wonderful day!

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had a marvelous evening celebrating the marriage of Jen Berkebile and Erik Schmalz at General Potter Farm on Saturday, June 2nd. Jen and Erik were definitely meant to be as they buzzed among guests, mugged behind the camera and danced the night away with And We Danced DJ Entertainment‘s awesome musical mixes. Smiles were always on their faces. The couple were also wonderful while behind the camera. They both have a great sense of humor and are loved by family members and their guests.

The couple were joined in marriage by their friend Joe Jividen at the Rhoneymeade Sculpture Garden & Arboretum. The bridesmaids sported bright poppy red dresses, while the groomsmen donned blue suits with poppy red ties. The bride was gorgeous in a beautiful taupe colored dress, while the groom wore a handsome blue suit. The bridal party were special friends from school and family members. No one was shy that night as they stood in line waiting for their turn at the photo booth. The bride was definitely number one that night as she sported the hand held number one prop behind the camera with her chums. The groom wasn’t far behind as he grinned along with his cronies and did some spectacular poses for the camera.

The photo booth had a never ending line as the night progressed. Young and old were not bashful when picking out hats, props and glasses. No one was chicken flashing behind the camera. Lotsa Laffs really means lots of laughs, and the guests were sure living up to our name. No one wanted to see the night end, but everyone had spectacular picture mementos to take home and reminisce about Jen and Erik’s walk down the aisle.

Thank you Jen and Erik for allowing Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths capture some spectacular, funny and striking pictures that will leave everyone fondly smiling and reminiscing about your wonderful day!

Your wedding is three weeks away. Last minute details with the caterer, baker and DJ are now complete, and you are ready to soon have your big day. You thought that you were all set with your vendors, but your friend has said you should really get a photo booth. But isn’t that why you got a photographer? No, a photographer takes all the formal pictures at your wedding and reception. A photo booth allows you to get informal fun shots! Later, you can look back at the pictures, laugh, giggle and reminisce about the day.

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths is able to maximize your fun!!! Even with a short lead time, Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths will provide an amazing experience for your wedding or special event. Under tight time constraints, we are able to design the highest quality border artwork for your event. Custom designs are always an option if our library doesn’t have the border that matches your event. Remember, we have the largest border library around, and we do not use outside vendors to create our borders. Our graphic design capabilities allow us to create all of our borders from scratch. Contact us about our vast border library and graphic design possibilities. Simply put, our borders and huge selection cannot be found anywhere else!

Our BIG camera design is aesthetically pleasing and will only enhance the surroundings of your event. Unlike those boxy metal photo booths that have no character, the Lotsa Laffs photo booth is visually appealing to the eye. Is your event hall concerned about the amount of space your vendors are taking up for the event? Our booth can adapt its size to the environment of your venue. Our props are ergonomically situated so that you will never have to reach on the ground for props.

So, if you get that last minute urge or nudge to do the right thing and get a photo booth for your event, please give us a call, text or email and let’s make weddings and special events fun again!!!

Amazing Border Designs!!!

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths was part of Penn State’s Society of Women Engineers (SWE), Association of Women in Computing (AWC), Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) 2018 Semi Formal held at the State College Days Inn. And We Danced DJ Entertainment provided the music for the event. The theme for the event was Under the Sea.

The young men and women decorated the room with mermaids, sea creatures, dancing bubbles, balloons and colorful wall coverings of the beautiful turquoise sea. The guests were given a bag of colorful turquoise jellybeans alongside multicolored Swedish fish to snack on during the event or afterwards. Each guest took home a screen printed glass marking the theme and the four engineering societies sponsoring the event.

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had Under the Sea props available for guests. Friends and couples picked out their favorite props, stepped behind the camera, and took four pictures with various poses. If guests were not waiting for a chance to mug for the camera, they were on the dance floor dancing. Club lights were flashing along with the dancing bubbles from the bubble machine. If Ariel, Sebastian, and Flounder were visiting State College, they would have enjoyed the festive underwater atmosphere that night!

SWE, ASCE and AIChE are professional engineering societies open to engineering students at Penn State. SWE is open to all women engineers. ASCE and AIChe are engineering societies for Civil or Chemical engineering professionals respectively. AWC is an organization promoting more women in the fields of Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering. The four organizations meet throughout the school year on the Penn State campus. Check out their websites for where and when they are meeting to join and learn more about them.

Thank you for an awesome time! Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths hopes to be a part of future events with each of your organizations. See you next year!

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had a great time at the Nittany Lion Inn on December 2nd with Penn State’s Graduate and Professional Student Association as they held their annual Winter Gala. This is the third year we have had the pleasure of working with this organization, and they know how to party and have a great time!

After dinner, guests were eager to dance to the grooves of And We Danced DJ Entertainment and pose for the camera. Guests were eagerly grabbing hats and props while mugging for their picture at the photo booth. Many people made sure to take a picture with their significant other. Then the tide changed. Groups started to build with friends trying to outdo each other with the hilarious props! We were laughing so hard as people squished behind the camera. Photo bombing was the norm later in the night as guests kept the hilarity soaring. No one wanted to leave at the end of the night. We have to wait until next year to party again with these fine people.

Penn State’s Graduate & Professional Student Association’s 2017 Winter Gala was a roaring success! Each year is better than the last! Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths enjoys working with them each year. Can’t wait for 2018! See you next December!!!

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had a marvelous time at the Preston-Lampel wedding reception on Saturday, October 7, at the Nittany Country Club. It was exciting watching everyone grab a prop, pose and have lotsa laffs! Nikki and Jesse’s photographer, Sarina Bowers, of Bower Shots was great mugging for the camera along with all of the guests.  And We Danced DJ Entertainment was present to keep the dance floor packed all night!

People couldn’t wait to get behind the camera! Youngsters were awesome posing with each other or with family members holding and wearing their favorite props. Nikki and Jesse’s parents spent time laughing and posing for the camera.

Nikki and Jesse picked a 2×6 wedding hearts border for their design. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths creates custom photo strip border designs for all clients.  Guests posed for four pictures before receiving their photo strip. The silver background curtain was fabulous and complemented the border design.  With such infectious fun everybody aimed to return to the booth for additional photos.

Throughout the night, many guests were cuddled together having hilarious fun posing for the BIG camera. Nikki and Jesse had lotsa laffs and will have a memory book and digital photos to remember their incredible day!  Enjoy that honeymoon in the Poconos!

Photo Booths are considered to be a mainstay for events, but what makes the experience so much fun?  Why do people keep coming back with different props and posing for a picture?  Along with an awesome DJ, why has the fun of a photo booth become such an important backbone at weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs or even company parties?

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths provides a chance for guests to live out their fantasies!  Their fantasy might be sailing the seas as a pirate or searching for new land as a Viking…and we can continue with the imaginings!  The main thing to remember is that you have a chance to be someone or something else for fun.  That’s right!  It is fun and exciting standing in front of the camera, grabbing a prop, mugging for the picture and quickly repeating the process until your session is through.  Once that photo strip is in your hand, you have a piece of memorabilia to look at for years to come.  This is a fun token to remember a wedding, birthday or graduation for years to come.

The photo strip border design that you receive with your prints usually contains information about the event, and many times the border design highlights the event.  Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths has many different border designs to choose from when selecting a border for your event.  So, if you are looking for sun, the sea with beach chairs, a luau or a pirate map for a photo strip border, Lotsa Laffs can definitely accommodate your theme.  If you have a company logo with specific graphics, we can certainly place those on the border.  In weeks, months and years to come, the displayed photo border will also advertise your company, party or event.  Remember that we design our photo strip borders completely from scratch, so ANYTHING is possible!

Photo booths do not detract guests away from the party.  Instead, they offer a brief reprieve from the dancing and merriment.  At the booth, people mingle, laugh and even get pulled into other photo shoots.  It is a time to get to know someone but in a fun and laughable way!  Contact Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths today to begin creating your own fun experience!

We can’t believe the BLAST that we are all having!!!
