Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had the pleasure of providing photo booth fun for Penn State’s Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers during their annual gala at the Graduate Hotel of State College.  The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers is a nationwide professional association with many college and university chapters.  Their organizational mission is to empower the Hispanic community to work and excel in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) field.

Penn State’s Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers was founded in 1991.  The organization has grown to over sixty members.  They continue to drive for success in their chapter and empower their members.

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers chose a 2×6, 3-picture, dark gray, and silver sprinkled border template for the event.  The organizational logo was also displayed on the border template.  Guests were eager to step behind Losta Laffs Photo Booths Baby Blue camera to take a variety of entertaining pictures.  Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had a delightful selection of hats, glasses, signs, lips, mustaches, and boas to allow guests to create captivating photos.

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths was happy to provide the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers with fun-filled moments behind our Baby Blue camera.  The photo booth line was always filled with guests.  Many guests were photobombing couples and groups throughout the event.  Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had small and large groups of guests posing behind our Baby Blue camera.  Guests showed off their serious, sweet natured, or funny sides.  The smiles were awesome throughout the event.  Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths enjoyed working with Penn State’s Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and look forward to providing photo booth thrills at future events. An awesome time was had by all! Thank you, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers for allowing Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths to be part of your amazing gala!

Alexandra and Summer sure know how to throw a party a year after they exchanged wedding vows, and Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths was partying along with the happy couple and their guests at the Days Inn by Wyndham Penn State. The couple renewed their vows in the Days Inn’s atrium, had the ultimate moment of being introduced as a newly mated couple, a wonderful dinner, excitement dancing together as newlyweds and fun taking pictures with each other, family and guests with Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths.

The newlyweds are big Penn State football fans! Guests were given Penn State pom poms to laud the arrival of the happy couple and to cheer the newlyweds favorite team to victory in the coming months. They also had a white football helmet with a marker available for guests to sign and deliver messages to the mated pair.

Alexandra and Summer opted for Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths Silver Sparkle photo booth backdrop – it looked very snazzy and placed the photo booth picture emphasis on the guests having fun behind Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths’ BIG Red camera. Since blue and white were the colors that meant so much to the happy couple, they chose a 4×6, landscape, 4-picture, blue and white zigzag photo booth border.

Guests were able to outfit themselves in amusing hats, teasing boas, mischievous glasses and delightful handheld lips or mustaches. The pièces de résistance were the special wedding signs for the event. Guests were not shy behind the camera. The more the merrier. It was fantastic to see the Mrs. and Mrs. kiss behind the camera while holding the sign stating, “Meet the Newlyweds.”

Thank you Alexandra and Summer for allowing Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths to capture some stunningly funny and beautiful photos that will leave everyone fondly smiling and reminiscing about your wonderful day!

As the Centre region has been battling the hot weather, Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths’ employees were discussing their most interesting photo booth events. There were many stories, but one event stood out. It happened on a very cold January night during a blizzard.

A nor’easter was forecast to hit the Centre region and drop a fierce amount of snow. The meteorologists predicted snowfall in the double digits ranging from 20 to 30 inches before the storm ended. Our client did not want to change the date of the event and reserved rooms for all the guests. The snowfall was supposed to start in the mid-morning with heavy accumulations beginning around 7:00 pm until the following morning.

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths was asked to set up early due to the storm and later conditions. While setting up, venue workers were keeping abreast of the snowfall predictions. Many were looking out windows awaiting the first snowflake. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths’ employees were also watching the weather and saw the first snowflake drop. Before leaving the venue, the snow had begun to accumulate in the parking lot and windshields. The falling snow was a heavenly sight from the inside, but the weather would soon worsen.

The event had a great deal of people present for the festivities, but a few tables were empty of party goers. Some stragglers came in a littler later due to poor road conditions. Everyone seemed upbeat and willing to have fun while the Centre region was experiencing a dampening amount of snowy conditions due to the nor’easter. People flocked to the Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths BIG camera for some memorable photos. They were eager to grab props and mug for the camera. Quite a few guests went outside and captured some snow as a prop for a few photo teasers.

While the guests were discussing spending time at the pool, Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths was tearing down, cleaning snow off their vehicle and preparing to battle the icy, cold and snowy conditions. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths waved goodbye to the venue manager and began their homeward bound travels.

Only one lane was open on the roads Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths were traversing. The windshield wipers were freezing to the windshield. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had to stop a few times to clean the windshield and wipers. Not many people were traveling home that night. Snow plows were trying to make pathways for motorists on the major highways, but the other roads were heavily covered with snow. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths was thankful when they pulled into their office parking lot and walked through the 2 feet of snow that had fallen since leaving for the event.

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths followed the United States Postal Service creed that snowy, blustery, nor’easter night, “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers (photo booth operators) from the swift completion of their appointed rounds!”

Let us meet one of Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths’ operators, Emma!

What is your role at Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths?

When Lotsa Laffs gets a call to run a photo booth for a special event, I am one of the operators that sets up and runs the machine.

What is the wildest thing that ever happened in the photo booth? One of the wildest things that I have seen while operating the photo booth is when a group holds a person up off of the ground while taking a picture.

What do you enjoy most when operating the photo booth?

Seeing the people having fun and smiling behind the camera. It makes me feel good seeing the joy in people’s faces.

What is your favorite color?

My favorite color is blue.

If you had a pet, what kind would it be?

I do have a dog. She is the baby in the family that everyone loves to snuggle next to.

What’s your favorite family tradition?

The ethnic food that my mother makes for holidays.

Who would you most like to swap places with for a day?

My dog since she gets to relax and snooze a lot.

What is your favorite photo booth prop?

I love the fans. People love to open them and do some amazingly funny poses with them in hand.

What event was your favorite?

Every year I look forward to seeing the PSU graduates. The PSU Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA) have a Winter Gala each year, and Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths is one of the vendors for the event. I look forward to saying hello to the students that have been coming to the Winter Gala since Lotsa Laffs has been the photo booth for the event.

What advice do you give to users of your photo booth?

I usually tell users to smile and have fun behind the camera!

Today let’s meet one of Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths’ owners, Nancy.

Hello Nancy! What is your role at Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths?

I am an owner/operator of Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths in State College, PA. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths is a woman-owned business.

When people ask “What do you do?” how do you answer?

I tell them I own and operate a photo booth company and a DJ business.

How did you come up with your name?

We wanted the photo booth name to be fun and exciting. Lotsa Laffs became our name, telling clients that we promote and excel at making an event really enjoyable with pictures.

Where is your favorite place in the world?

Being at an event with a Lotsa Laffs Photo Booth, of course!

What’s your favorite family tradition?

Having my family around the table.

Who would you most like to swap places with for a day?

I would swap places with my dog. She has it made!

What did you do before you did this?

I worked as an electrical engineer.

When and how did you get into the wedding industry?

When my husband and I started dating, I found out he had a DJ business with his friend while in high school. My husband saw I loved weddings and extensively knew the course of events. I saw his love for music and suggested getting back into the DJ business.

How did you get into the photo booth business?

I was DJing an event, and the client had a photo booth. The photo booth wasn’t a booth per se, but just a photographer’s camera on a tripod. I walked from that event away telling my husband I could do much better.

My husband and I worked together to completely design our booth, implement the right software and utilize entertaining props. Today, we have multiple open air photo booths that we have designed and continue to look at ways to make them better.

What is your favorite photo booth prop?

My favorite photo booth prop is the plunger. I always laugh when I see what people do behind the camera with that particular prop.

What advice do you give to users of your photo booth?

I always tell people to smile and have fun behind the camera!

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had the pleasure of celebrating the marriage of Dewey and Lacey at the C. Barton McCann School of Art, Fern Hill located in Petersburg, Pennsylvania. Lacey wore a lovely, white, lace, beaded, strapless gown. Her bridesmaids were arrayed in sleeveless, navy blue gowns, and her junior bridesmaids were garbed in sleeveless, sequined, champagne rose gowns. Dewey and his groomsmen were attired in a black suit, vest, tie and white shirts. Since the couple are Penn State graduates, the color scheme reflected the school’s colors of navy blue and white.

Wedding guests quickly walked over to the Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths BIG red camera to begin creating their dazzling ensembles. They began trying on flamboyant hats that would set the stage for their photo session. Many grabbed boas and masks along with hand held props to generate spectacular pictures. Young and old alike were ready to mug for the camera. Wedding guests also had the opportunity to serenade the newlyweds with private messages and photo booth photos in the couple’s memory book. Later, Dewey and Lacey could look back and reminisce about the exciting day while viewing the messages along with the pictures!

The newlyweds chose a 4×6, 4-picture, landscape border embellished with navy blue and white zigzags. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had a steady line of guests posing for pictures. Young and old alike were quick to grab some props, step behind the BIG red camera and pose for some pictures. Dewey posed with his mother and siblings for a variety of awesome photos. Even Dewey and Lacey’s wedding photographers stepped behind the camera and posed for some striking, fun-filled photos.

Thank you Dewey and Lacey for allowing Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths to capture some stunningly, funny and fabulous pictures that will leave everyone fondly smiling and reminiscing about your wonderful day!

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had a delightful time celebrating the marriage of Jeffery and Amber at the Greenland’s Lodge of Spruce Creek located in Alexandria, Pennsylvania. Pastor Ryan Smith married the couple on a beautiful sunlit day. Amber wore a lovely mermaid style, sleeveless wedding gown. Her bridesmaids were adorned in knee length, light blue, sleeveless dresses. Both the bride and her bridesmaids donned cowboy boots with their attire. Jeffery and his groomsmen were adorned in white shirts, brown vests, light blue ties and jeans. The bridal couple had a down-home country style wedding!

The couple chose a 2×6, 4-picture, blackboard style border embellished with a mason jar filled with baby’s breath. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had a steady line of guests posing for pictures. Amber, her maid of honor and ring bearer were the first to step behind the camera that night. Jeff and his siblings gathered the younglings for pictures with their grandfather. It was awesome to see the kids held in their parents arms arrayed around their grandfather. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths was a great child minder for the kids. They could not pass up posing for pictures!

The night was festive and full of laughter and love while watching these kids pose with props behind the Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths BIG red camera. Not only were the little ones having fun with the various hats and glasses, the older kids were also checking out the prop selection for their own pictures. Many of the families were so happy to fit large groups behind the camera. Smiles adorned all faces that night!

One picture topped the cake as the best photo prop of the night! After Jeffery and Amber cut the cake and fed each other a piece, Jeffery was naughty and smashed the cake in Amber’s face. As she was walking by the Lotsa Laffs Photo Booth, we suggested remembering her face with a fun photo! As cake was dripping onto the floor, Amber flashed her fun loving smile of the event for the BIG red camera. She was a real trooper with all that frosting and cake on her face. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booth wishes we had props simulating the dripping icing and cake smears, but we have to work with actual cake and icing to achieve this effect.

Thank you Jeffery and Amber for allowing Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths to capture some spectacular, funny and striking pictures that will leave everyone fondly smiling and reminiscing about your wonderful day!

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had a wonderful time at Vince and Megan’s wedding reception at the Above The Valley Event Center.

Vince and Megan were married in Denver, Colorado and decided to have a reception in the State College area for friends and family. 2019 was the 10 year anniversary of their being a couple, and they emphasized that their wedding reception was a celebration of their first decade together!

Once guests were finished with dining on some fabulous food, they quickly walked over to the photo booth area to begin creating their dazzling ensembles. They began trying on flamboyant hats that would set the stage for their photo session. Many grabbed boas and masks along with hand held props to generate spectacular pictures. Everybody was ready to pose for the camera.

Guests were eager to dance the night away to the grooves, lights and emceeing of And We Danced DJ Entertainment while mugging for their picture at the photo booth. Many people made sure to take a picture with their significant other. Groups started to build with friends trying to outdo each other with the hilarious props! We were laughing so hard as people squished behind the camera. Photo bombing was the norm later in the night as guests kept the hilarity soaring. No one wanted to leave at the end of the night. We really enjoyed the opportunity to party with these fine people.

At the end of the night, many of the guests thanked Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths for a great time! We had a totally awesome time ourselves, and we thank Vince and Megan for inviting us to provide photo booth fun for their wedding reception. Many congratulations to both of you and good luck to you in Denver, Colorado!
