Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had the recent pleasure of celebrating the holiday season with Foxdale Village at the State College Ramada Hotel and Conference Center. Foxdale Village chose a charming 2×6, 4-picture red snowflake and white snow border for the night’s picture posing activities. An amusing array of Christmas hats, glasses and handheld props were available for guests while posing behind the Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths BIG camera. Lighthearted enthusiasm ensued as guests stepped behind the BIG camera and posed for pictures. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths captured the sweet smiles along with the silliness of the holiday season.

Foxdale Village offers a holistic approach in providing services for older retirement people and was modeled after Quaker-directed communities existing in southeast Pennsylvania. They have been in existence in the State College community since 1990. Foxdale offers an assortment of apartments or cottage homes for older retirement people to live in. Besides living within the community, residents have a chance to meet others, participate in educational lectures or classes, work out together, and dine together. Transportation is also available to attend appointments and go shopping.

Foxdale Village also offers residents living in the village wellness opportunities and have onsite physical therapy if needed. All retirement people have an opportunity to participate in State College Area School District and Penn State educational classes. Penn State offers retirees who enjoy learning to take classes through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). Many OLLI classes are held right in Foxdale Village. Besides classes, OLLI also offers trips to dinner theaters, hiking or joining a reading group. Foxdale Village has a great deal to offer people who are contemplating a move to a retirement community and continue to grow and thrive.

Thank you Foxdale Village for choosing Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths to be a part of your holiday season!

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had the recent pleasure of celebrating Avery and Griffin’s B’nai Mitzvah at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center. Avery and Griffin chose a fun-filled, 4×6, 4-picture, paint splattered border for the nights picture posing activities. The brothers were not shy behind the Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths BIG camera. They continuously changed props with friends and family as they posed behind the BIG camera. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths captured family and friends showing their charming smiles along with their silliness as they posed for pictures.

And We Danced DJ Entertainment furnished the lively tunes for all to enjoy that night and the stunning, blue uplighting which created an incredible ambiance. Star Valle Entertainment and Decor furnished the dazzling balloon decorations in the room. Balloons were mounted on the ceiling dangling over the dance floor, and balloons were crafted into beautiful center piece arrangements. Sara Rosenberger Blose of Bona Fide Photography was the wonderful photographer capturing the excitement and enthusiasm that night. The Penn Stater’s Eric Paul Olbrich was the awesome organizer for the B’nai Mitzvah helping the events run smoothly.

A Mitzvah service is an event where a 13-year-old boy or 12 or 13-year-old year girl is recognized as an adult in the Jewish tradition. They are now responsible and held accountable for performing the commandments that are in specified in the Torah. The Bar or Bat in front of the Mitzvah designates either a boy or girl. Bar or Bat Mitzvah means “son or daughter of the commandment.” If two or more boys celebrate their Mitzvah, it is called a B’nai Mitzvah. If two or more girls celebrate a Mitzvah, it is called a B’not Mitzvah. A B’nai Mitzvah is also the name used to designate if two or more people of different genders are celebrating a Mitzvah together.

Thank you Avery, Griffin, Kate and Stuart for choosing Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths to be a part of your B’nai Mitzvah. Mazel Tov Avery and Griffin!

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had a marvelous time bringing smiles to the faces of Catherine’s relatives and friends as she celebrated her 80th birthday at The Barn at Pine Creek. The Barn is located in the Jersey Shore area of Pennsylvania featuring 10 acres of waterfront property with a home and barn situated on the lot. It is a beautiful setting for any type of event, especially an 80th birthday bash!

Catherine’s family wanted a rustic look for their pictures. They chose a 4×6, 1-picture, landscape border featuring fall foliage and wooden slats. The border design fit the setting of the birthday bash to a tee. The Barn’s wooden walls were a perfect background for the awesome birthday pictures. Everyone enjoyed picking a hat, mask, hand held prop, or picture frame. Catherine wasn’t shy when she stepped behind the BIG red camera. She posed with her family and friends countless times. Afterwards, everyone had a lovely photo to take home and remember the sensational event.

Friends and family entering The Barn had an opportunity to peruse photos of Catherine through the years. Catherine celebrated her birthday with spice cupcakes and a white, tiered birthday cake. Tables were decorated with baskets filled to the brim with shiny red apples.

Curiel and Erica Bame, owners of Real Taste Taqueria and Food Truck, were the marvelous caterers for Catherine’s 80th birthday bash. They made the wonderful, mouthwatering beef brisket, salsas, chips and other yummy Mexican dishes for the special occasion. Real Taste Taqueria is located in Jersey Shore. The Bame’s provide catering, meal prep, custom menus, private chef services and can accommodate any cuisine. Stop by their food food truck or restaurant in Jersey Shore for some real tasting Mexican street food!

Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths was on hand at the grand opening of Johnstown’s Bottle Works Green Roof Project. The 2019 No Tie Gala premiered Bottle Works efforts to create an environmentally friendly facility utilizing an onsite storm water control water project. Lichtenfels Nursery designed and installed the environmentally plant friendly facility. All the vegetation on the rooftop garden acts to filter pollutants that come from water runoff. The Green Roof also enhances the climate control in the Bottle Works building. This has been a five-year process to help raise money, design and build the magnificent facility. The Green Roof contains a stunning living wall of plant vegetation that was used as a marvelous backdrop for the Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths BIG camera. Lichtenfels Nursery incorporated native plants into the structure to make the Green Roof project very sustainable.

At the Bottle Works No Tie Gala, Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths open air booth invited people to mingle, pose with or without props and try to fit as many people behind the BIG camera as possible. The grand opening event not only featured Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths, but a variety of well-known musicians, bakers and chefs in the Johnstown area. Flair of Country Catering and Event Planning created the impressive seafood inspired buffet menu for the No Tie Gala. The beach themed dessert cupcakes were produced by Lambcakes. Lambcakes crafted three distinctive cupcake flavors with colorful white chocolate beach themed sea pieces placed on top of each cupcake. The pièce de résistance for the night was the performance by the Flood City Brass. The band members are from the Johnstown, Altoona and Northern Cambria area.

Bottle Works is located in the Johnstown cultural district of Cambria City and operates two cultural centers. The facility is an art mecca where artists can teach, sell, exhibit or create dynamic artwork. Bottle Works is also available for weddings, parties and musical performances.

Graduation props were raised, exclaiming “I made it!” After taking pictures, friends and family gathered around to sign and decorate Jenna’s photo booth memory book for the event. Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths had the honor of being part of Penn State Army ROTC Dining Out 2019 which was recently held at the Bryce Jordan Center. Current cadets were accompanied by parents, family or significant others to the yearly event. The Bryce Jordan Center was awash in blue uplighting highlighting the colors of Penn State University. And We Danced DJ Entertainment was there spinning danceable tunes for the guests to enjoy after dinner and speeches.

After formally retiring the flag for the night, guests quickly began browsing through the props to find appropriate items for their pictures. Penn State Army ROTC picked a lovely black background with gold and pewter decorative elements. The Army ROTC logo was prominently displayed alongside the event title for the night. Guests posed for 4 pictures that were then displayed on a 2×6 photo strip. Many cadets posed with their significant others or with other cadets while posing behind Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths BIG camera. Take a look at the fun side the cadets displayed during the event!

Since the beginning of Penn State University in 1855, military training has been part of its curriculum. Lay personnel with experience in the military drilled the students. In the late nineteenth century, a full-time Professor of Military Science was assigned to Penn State. It wasn’t until the 1950s that military training was changed to military science training. By the 1960s, the Wagner Building was assigned for the Nittany Lion Battalion that is still in use today. In the early seventies, women became part of the battalion. The Penn State Nittany Lion Battalion is considered one of the top ROTC programs in our nation and consistently churns out cadets that perform consistently higher than their peers in Basic Officer Leadership Courses and in their units.

Thank you Penn State Army ROTC for allowing Lotsa Laffs Photo Booths to be a part of Penn State Army ROTC Dining Out 2019!
